Welcome to CPDI

A Place of Prayer, Deliverance, and Transformation

Greetings and welcome to Cathedral of Prayer and Deliverance International Church of God in Christ, where the supernatural power of God transcends the ordinary.

It is with great excitement that we welcome you to step inside the Cathedral and experience the transforming power of God’s glory with us. As we welcome visitors from around the world, we are committed to making your experience both inspiring and memorable. We hope that the time you share with us will encourage you to fellowship with us again and again.

We are a ministry founded on the principles of true holiness. You can expect to leave enriched and strengthened in the knowledge of who you are in Christ.

It is our prayer that God will enable you to stand firm so that you may experience the deliverance He has for you today, according to Exodus 14:13a.

HOW WE STARTED

CHURCH HISTORY

In 1992, Pastor Willie Cage began a ministry in Albany, Louisiana, after feeling called by God. Starting with street services and small gatherings, the church quickly grew through outreach efforts and community involvement. Later that year, God’s Tabernacle of Deliverance COGIC was officially established.

Despite challenges—including the church being destroyed by arson in 2001—the ministry persevered, relocating to Hammond, Louisiana, where it continued to expand. Over the years, the church experienced spiritual and numerical growth, adding ministries, hosting events, and strengthening its leadership.

Pastor Cage was later ordained as a Superintendent and, in 2016, consecrated as Bishop. In 2018, the church was renamed Cathedral of Prayer and Deliverance Int’l COGIC, reflecting its evolving mission and impact.

The ministry has remained active in serving the community through outreach programs, housing initiatives, and youth development. After 34 years of leadership, Bishop Cage passed away in 2023, leaving a legacy that the church continues to build upon.
